Yahoo Singapore has launched a content marketing solutions it says is designed for brands and agencies to leverage Yahoo Gemini, its self-serve native and search product.

Called Yahoo Storytellers, the service is designed to let marketers develop, distribute and measure premium branded content that meets consumers’ high expectations and drives engagement.

“A successful content marketing campaign equates to how well you understand your consumers. With Yahoo Storytellers, we’re offering a better way for brands to create powerful content that’s informed by data and engages the right audience,” said Rico Chan, vice president and head of India, Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.

“The promise of using data to make content marketing effective is hyper-personalization at work, making sure that content is valuable to both brands and users,” he said.

Yahoo Storytellers will help brands to build successful content marketing strategies, including: content consulting services, development of premium video, a full range of editorial content and influencer activations across social platforms.

Yahoo pointed to over 170 brands that it has partnered to create success campaigns in the past. Brands will be able to connect with a highly-engaged audience and drive measurable results for their campaigns with Yahoo Storytellers, Yahoo says

The rising relevance of content marketing is indisputable, considering how the lion’s share of research is done online before a company representative is even contacted. Some have compared content marketing to gambling however, pointing to how marketers don’t know if content marketing delivers revenue or is relevant.

The ability to tap into data points through Yahoo Storytellers appear to address some of these areas.
