Don't rule out the power of emails

Email is far from dead.

In fact, a March 2017 Transparency Market Research report, the global email marketing industry will grow its revenue at CAGR 19.6% from 2017 to 2025.

According to the research firm, Asia Pacific is leading the charge.

In 2015, the region drove US$1.49 billion in revenues.

The report predicted that this number would rise at a CAGR of 22.8% from 2017 to 2025.

The increase in internet users and e-commerce popularity in Asia economies like China and India will be key drivers.

Meanwhile, the North America market will grow the slowest due to the introduction of new regulations.

Email marketing is predominantly used for expanding the business, retain customers, and engage customers.

The report noted that third party software would be preferred for email marketing.

It also highlighted that the popularity of email marketing tools through white label software, third-party standard tools, and web-based application is making it easier for marketers to create creative email programs.

Key global companies in this space include Alchemy Worx Ltd., Adestra Ltd., GetResponse, VerticalResponse Inc., dotmailer Ltd., Forfront Ltd., BlueHornet Inc., Constant Contact Inc., BlueTie Inc., Drip Inc., Microsoft Corp., IBM Corp., The Rocket Science Group LLC, iContact Corp, Zoho Corporation Pvt. Ltd., Salesforce Inc., Responsys Inc., Epsilon, Natexo Group, and Campaign Monitor.

Globally, IBM, Microsoft Corp., Zoho Corp., Epsilon, and Responsys Inc. hold 44% of the overall email marketing market in 2016.
