Consistel has won a contract to supply Spiro hydrogen fuel cells as a cost-effective, “green” backup power to Indonesian cellco Telkomsel in Sumatra.
 
The HomePlug Powerline Alliance says it expects to finalize specifications for its low-power “green plug” in the first quarter of 2010. HomePlug GP is optimised for smart grid apps such as HVAC, smart meters and plug-in electric hybrid vehicles.
 
Deutsche Telekom, Orange Group and Vodafone are Europe’s greenest telcos, according to ABI Research’s European Green Operators Matrix.
 
APC Schneider and IBM are jointly offering a data center container based on APC’s InfraStruxure architecture and IBM's global services capabilities, APC has announced.
