Thailand aims to raise competitiveness of SMEs in export market
Thailand aims to raise the competitiveness of the country’s small and medium-sized enterprise in the export market, reports the Bangkok Post.
Quoting Industry Minister Uttama Savanayana, the Post reports that the Industry Ministry, in cooperation with the Commerce Ministry and Science and Technology Ministry, is drafting packages that will help SMEs cost costs and increase their revenue from overseas markets, especially ASEAN. The measures are expected to be released this week.
The government also wants SMEs to take advantage of e-commerce to increase their export channels.
